Thomson-McDuffie County Recreation & Leisure Services Department provides and maintains quality parks, facilities and recreational activities with an emphasis on fun and enjoyment for girls, boys, adults and seniors.
Our scheduled year-round activities are governed by the Georgia Recreation & Parks Association. The department is governed by the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners with an appointed Board of Advisors representing the county as well as the cities of Thomson and Dearing.

The department publicizes activities through our program guide, the Internet, the McDuffie Progress, WTHO FM and WTWA AM radio. We also coordinate with our local school system to avoid conflicts of interest and scheduling of shared facilities.
