Pursuant to the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, 42-1-12, this department is "authorized to release relevant information...as needed to protect the public concerning a specific person." All individuals have been required to register under this code section and identified as a Registered Sex Offender within the State of Georgia.
The McDuffie County Sheriff's Office feels the identification of the Registered Sex Offenders is in the best interest of public safety to the county as a whole and to the citizens in whose neighborhood these persons may be residing.
