Bowden-Johnson House

The Bowden-Johnson House was built around the time of the Civil War.

The Bowden-Johnson House, so called for its last owner, Mrs. Lucille Bowden Johnson, was built around the time of the Civil War.

Located in what was then a part of Warren County, Georgia, the house is an excellent example of the many vernacular interpretations of the Greek Revival that were built during the mid-nineteenth century.

The Bowden-Johnson House can be rented for weddings, reunions and other events. For more information, call the Department of Tourism at (706) 597-1000 or use this form.
