Tax Commissioner

The mission of the Tax Commissioner's Office is to bill, collect, and disburse all taxes as prescribed by the laws of the State of Georgia and to act as the Motor Vehicle tag and title agent for the State. 

Our goal is to perform these duties in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service.

Our office is staffed by an exceptional group of people.  We keep current with the new laws and regulations in order to give you the very best assistance with your transaction. We welcome your comments and suggestions on how we can serve you better.

We gladly accept cash, checks, money orders and credit/debit cards (fees apply).  No American Express.

• Your 2023 tax bill included a ONE TIME $18,000 HTRG credit (homesteaded property only).  This is a credit from Governor Kemp. 
• I have included on the website a complete breakdown of the millage rates.  The credit you see on your tax bill is a reflection of the SPLOST.
